About Lauri

Lauri Daughtry (NBCT, NCIDQ) is a professionally accredited interior designer, artist and a National Board Early Middle Childhood Art certified visual arts teacher (NBCT) in Alamance County who has been teaching since 1995. In addition to teaching private art lessons she has taught visual art to 1000’s of students in Alamance County public schools. Currently she teaches secondary art education /pottery at Eastern Alamance HS. She earned her BFA degree from ECU School of Art in Interior Design / Drawing and earned her board certification in '12.

She offers fun, no-stress painting experience with friends or colleagues, and mobile TEAM BUILDING events. Lauri has a home studio in Mebane where she will gladly host a private event for your small group. She believes that art is therapeutic and completely personal. With the right guidance, everyone can be successful and have a great time! Creating art together is an intimate group experience that offers all a chance to unwind and get inspired. Sessions are varied and offer instruction in Batik (wax resist/fabric dying), watercolors, pottery (both hand-built and wheel thrown) glass/enamel painting, jewelry making, printmaking, and and paper making, as well as the popular canvas painting parties.
